Seating Capacity = 499

Front nine rows are gently raked (5" risers), rear nine rows are stadium seating (17" risers), maximum distance from stage is less than 60'

Accommodations for up to nine wheelchair patrons plus five additional locations with swing-away armrests/end panels for easy transfer from wheelchair

Infra-red assistive listening system available

House lighting powered via 100A panel and programmable electronic dimming system

Auditorium's Theatre Technology Features:
  • Upper perimeter catwalks that connect to stagehouse fly floors and that accommodate lighting and sound positions and cable runs
  • Catwalk bridge spanning auditorium accommodating lighting positions
  • Follow spot platform at catwalk level at rear with 200A power panel plus 200A sound panel
  • Enclosed control booth behind seating with over 100A available power and direct ladder access to catwalk level
  • Multiple vertical lighting booms at sides of auditorium
  • Multiple floor outlets in seating to accommodate tech tables
  • Various work lighting independent of house light
 
STAGEHOUSE

Stage Dimensions:

  • Proscenium opening width = 39' – 7"
  • Proscenium opening height = 24' – 0"
  • Overall width of stage = 71' – 0"
  • Equal wing space on each side (15' – 7" each)
  • Depth (smoke pocket to upstage wall) = 26' – 1"
  • Edge of apron to plaster line = 4' – 1" plus 6" deep smoke pocket
  • Centerline to onstage edge of SR fly floor = 27'–10"
  • Centerline to onstage edge of SL fly floor = 29' –10"
  • Fly floor height above deck = 29'- 0" (28'-3" clear below)
  • Grid height above deck = 48'-4" (47'-7" clear below)

Stage Deck:

  • Adjustable support framing carries double layer of 3/4" plywood plus 1/4" Masonite surfacing
  • 150 psf live load capacity
  • Trap-capable throughout playing area

Rigging Accommodations:

  • Gridiron with 50 psf live load capacity; includes five wells plus 3" slat channels; hoisting trap above SL wing
  • Headlock beam as well as loft block support beams for accommodating underslung units; all rated for 1500 lb. loading capacity per 5-line system set
  • Rigging wall is stage right, with locking rail at fly floor level and a few T-bar guide rails downstage
  • Loading gallery rated for 750 psf live load
  • Each fly floor is equipped with a pin rail rated for 500 lbs. uplift per linear foot, concentrated load of 1000 lbs. uplift
  • No system lines, blocks, counterweight carriages, etc. currently available
  • One-ton electric chain hoist on trolley beam located above SL fly floor for hoisting dimmer racks, etc.

Electric Power Availability (all distribution is 120/208V 3-phase)

  • 1200A company switchboard with four 400A switches located on SL fly floor (cable pass-thru openings available in proscenium wall to auditorium lighting positions, etc.)
  • 200A panel for sound power on SL fly floor
  • 200A fused disconnect at stage level for automation, etc.
  • Two 100A panels at stage level for miscellaneous loads, one SL, the other SR

House Curtain

  • Guillotine style
  • Operated from SR fly floor
  • Rigged from #1 system set, 6" upstage of smoke pocket

Fire Safety

  • Guillotine style fire curtain with manual and automatic release, including SureGuard interface with fire alarm system; fire curtain at top trim utilizes "slot" opening at downstage area of grid
  • Fire alarm system emergency control panel located at DSR proscenium wall
  • Mechanical smoke exhaust system interfaced with fire alarm system but also available for general ventilation via variable speed control
  • Stagehouse is fully sprinklered

Orchestra Pit

  • Approximately 400 sq. ft.
  • Available platform system to cover pit and extend floor of auditorium seating when orchestra pit not in use

Understage Trap Area

  • Column-free
  • Approximately 1,125 sq. ft.
  • Fully sprinklered, lit, and equipped with convenience outlets
 
BACKSTAGE

Dressing Rooms:

  • Two chorus-type rooms, one accommodating up to ten people, the other up to seven people
  • Two smaller dressing rooms for use as single rooms by featured performers, or each could be shared by two people
  • Each chorus room has toilet, lavatory, and shower facilities; the small dressing rooms share a toilet/shower room
  • All dressing rooms include continuous make-up counters with mirroring and lights
Stage manager's office (has facilities to accommodate use as a dressing room)

Wardrobe room with laundry

Crossover corridor connecting USL and USR

"Flex area" for use as a green room, quick change, etc.; includes kitchenette, utility sink, and restroom for backstage crew

Load-in facilities (stage level is 20' above street level):
  • Loading bay with access at 41st St. via 6'W x 11'H overhead rolling door; bay extends full height up to stage level, and includes door at trap level
  • 8,000 lb. capacity freight elevator with door opening 5'W x 8'H; 52 sq. ft., 415 cu. ft.
  • For oversize pieces, loading bay is equipped with one-ton capacity electric chain hoist mounted on trolley beam
  • Door connecting loading bay with stage level is 8'W x 10'H; in-line with this is door in upstage wall in USL corner, 6'-3"W x 8'-5"H
